THE PLACE WHERE PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED

Processing connected to this site’s web services is done at the company’s offices and is carried out by technical personnel duly assigned to perform such processing, or by personnel used for occasional maintenance operations.
No data derived from a web service is communicated or disclosed.
Personal data provided by users who send requests for informational material to be sent to them (e.g. bulletins, CD-ROMs, catalogues, price lists, answers to questions, various documents, etc.) is used solely for the purpose of providing the requested service.

THE TYPES OF PERSONAL DATA PROCESSED

Browsing data
The information systems and software procedures used to operate this website acquire, as part of their normal operation, certain personal data, the transmission of which is implicit in the use of internet communication protocols.
This information is not collected in order to be associated to an identified data subject but, by its very nature, could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, be used to identify users.
This category of data includes the IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users to connect to the site, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the requested resources, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numeric code indicating the status of the response given by the server (success, error, etc.), and other parameters relating to the user’s operating system and computing environment.

This data is used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on the use of the site and to check that it is operating correctly. Once processed, the data is deleted immediately. Data may be used to ascertain responsibility in the case of a hypothetical computer crime against the site: except for this eventuality, currently, data on web contacts is not kept for more than seven days.

Data provided voluntarily by the user
The optional, explicit, and voluntary sending of an email to one or more of the addresses indicated on this site will lead to the subsequent acquisition of the sender’s email address, which is needed in order to reply to the request, as well as any other personal data that the sender might include in the email.
Specific summary informational notices will be progressively reported or displayed on the site’s pages set up for particular, on-request services.

THE OPTIONAL NATURE OF PROVIDING PERSONAL DATA

Apart from that specified under browsing data, the user is free to decide whether or not to supply his/her personal data.
Failing to provide such personal data may, however, make it impossible for the user to obtain a response to his/her request.

THE METHODS BY WHICH PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED

Personal data is processed with automated tools for the time strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which such data was collected.
Specific security measures are followed in order to prevent any loss of data, illegal or improper use of data, and unauthorised access to such data.

TRANSFERRING PERSONAL DATA TO A THIRD COUNTRY

Any transfer of personal data to a third country outside the European Union, or to an international organisation, shall be done on the basis of the Commission’s adequacy decision or, in the case of a transfer under articles 46, 47 or 49(2) of the EU Regulation, on the basis of appropriate and adequate guarantees.

A DATA SUBJECT’S RIGHTS

Those parties to whom the personal data refers have the right, at any moment, to request access to the personal data that concerns them and to have such data rectified or deleted. These parties also have the right to restrict processing of the personal data that concerns them and to object to such processing, as well as the right to data portability. They also have the right to lodge a complaint with a Supervisory Authority.

This informational notice has been prepared and issued pursuant to art. 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679 (also referred to hereinafter as, simply, the EU Regulation ), which introduced some significant new legislation.
This informational notice, therefore, updates and replaces any previous versions.
Given the above, it should be noted that:

1) as a result of establishing a commercial relationship, and in the course of executing such a relationship, our company will collect and process your personal data;

2) we hereby specify, for clarity, the following definitions given by the aforementioned EU Regulation:

Personal data: means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person (“data subject”); an identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity of that natural person;

Processing: means any operation or set of operations which is performed on personal data or on sets of personal data, whether or not by automated means, such as collection, recording, organisation, structuring, storage, adaptation or alteration, retrieval, consultation, use, disclosure by transmission, dissemination or otherwise making available, alignment or combination, restriction, erasure or destruction.

Pursuant to art. 13 of EU Regulation 2016/679, therefore, we inform you that your personal data will be collected and processed by this company in accordance with the following:

  • purpose: personal data will be processed to properly fulfil accounting, tax, commercial, and technical obligations and for all company activities in general which are inherent to the ongoing relationship;
  • advertising purposes: personal data may also potentially be used, subject to your prior and express consent, to send advertising/publicity material/communications via the postal service, email, telephone, fax, SMS, and similar; after having given your consent, you have the right, in any case, to object, at any time and without incurring any expense, to the processing of your personal data for this purpose;
  • methods: personal data will be processed with both paper and electronic means/tools/techniques, in full respect of the law, and in accordance with the principles of lawfulness and correctness, and in such a way as to safeguard your privacy;
  • optional nature of providing data: providing personal data is optional and not mandatory;
  • consequences of failing to provide data: if you fail to provide your personal data, or if you object to any processing whatsoever of it, it may, then, be impossible to continue a commercial relationship or, indeed, any other relationship with our company; refusing the use of your personal data to send advertising/publicity material/communications shall not, however, have any consequence whatsoever on any present or future relationship;
  • subjects or categories of subjects (recipients) to whom your personal data may be communicated or disclosed: personal data may be communicated to a third party only in order to fulfil the company’s legal or contractual obligations. Personal data will not, under any circumstances whatsoever, be disclosed;
  • personnel authorised to process personal data: personal data will be processed exclusively by the company’s personnel, duly authorised, who work in the administrative and sales organisations;
  • automated decision-making (e.g. profiling): automated decision-making processes are not used in any way whatsoever;
  • a data subject’s rights: you have all the rights enshrined in the EU Regulation such as, for example, the right to access the personal data that concerns you and the right to have such data rectified; the right to restrict processing or to object to such processing, as well as the right to data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a Supervisory Authority;
